My neighbor says that there's a Rent Bank?  What is it?

Toronto has a "Rent Bank" that offers interest-free loans to people who are behind on their rent.

There are requirements – you have to qualify.

The Ontario Tenants website also has some information about the Rent Bank, here:  http://toronto.ontariotenants.ca/rentbank.phtml (http://toronto.ontariotenants.ca/rentbank.phtml)

Apparently there's an "Emergency Rental Deposit Loan Program" too, which helps people get the First and Last Month's Rent (the deposit you pay your landlord when you sign your lease on a new place).
