I saw this announcement from Toronto Hydro, and thought that it might be helpful to some of us here:
Effective March 1, 2024, the Ontario government increased the Ontario Electricity Support Program (OESP) and Low-income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) income eligibility thresholds.
OESP provides a monthly bill credit to qualifying customers, with the credit amount depending on how many people live in your home and your total household income. LEAP is a grant that helps those who are struggling to pay past-due bills or have received a disconnection notice, with your household income and the number of people living in your home determining eligibility.
The LEAP maximum grant amount has also increased.
